DEKRA Certification GmbH celebrates its 25th anniversary. The certification specialist was registered in the commercial register in Stuttgart in February 1996. Over the years, it became a leading global provider of audits and certifications according to national, international, and industry standards.

With the acquisition of Tähti Katsastus OY, DEKRA enters the vehicle inspection market in Finland. The six inspection stations, mainly in the province of Eastern Finland, are intended to serve as the starting point for the further expansion of the vehicle inspection business in the country.
In conjunction with German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche, DEKRA honors innovative safety services in four categories. The DEKRA Award 2021 in the “Startups” category goes to Swiss company Lakera AG. The artificial intelligence (AI) experts have developed a validation platform to ensure that AI is trustworthy and safe.
In North America, DEKRA is recognized as a test laboratory for certifying the interoperability of tolls. It is therefore able to offer laboratory testing of the RFID technologies used at toll stations in North and South America.
